She’s back!

By

Well, hello, my lovely friends. It’s been too long since I’ve been here; I imagine so much that I had to change my age in the ‘About Me’ column. Yikes. That was a lot. Anyways, I hope everyone has been having a really nice time with this thing we all call life. From my part, eh, it’s been more or less. But I am determined to change that, and for the first time ever I’m actually working on it. I’m working out every day; yes, I know, even I’m surprised, but hey, guess what? If I don’t do it one day, I start missing it. I’m taking care of my hypoglycemia by actually having real meals instead of fast food. I’m enrolling in a project management course, which is completely draining my energy. I’m doing things outside of my comfort zone—not a lot of them, but I’m starting to, and that’s definitely something in my eyes. I’m still not big on making new friends and the whole talking thing, but at least I’m saying hi to people in the street and smiling at them. It’s not that I’m making some significant change in my life; it’s the fact that I’m doing little things that are making a huge difference. I almost forgot to mention that I’m actually dressing up and applying makeup. I know. It’s just mouth-opening news.

Recently, many events have occurred, prompting me to think that starting to write again would be a good idea. I know I don’t have a lot of time on my hands and that not a lot of people will read me, but composing words is what I know how to do, and I do it pretty well, if I do say so myself. The written word is how I can express my feelings, let down all my worries, and be open, funny, kind, stupid, and childish. This is how I know who I am. So I hope whoever reads me can see me for who I really am.

Just truly,

-Y.
